We seem to be suckers for a parade and this one came within a block of Laurette & Craig's house . The occasion was a fundraising car show and BBQ to raise funds for Haiti.
As usual my lovely bride got older on her birthday. This year she decided to go on a cabbage soup diet to start her on a weight loss program and her birthday landed right in the middle of it. Being unable to present her with a cake, her sister decided to put a candle that wouldn't blow out into a section of boiled cabbage. We sang happy birthday and otherwise celebrated as appropriately as ever.
We got settled in at Laurette & Craig's . Then I managed to get a picture of Craig pruning their mesquite tree with Laurette supervising then they were wore out and needed a rest. We went for an evening walk and got a picture of their street and the house just before sundown.
Louise was in such a hurry to get here the trip was just a blur
Well we made it down to Yuma to Laurette & Craig's in record time. Had a bit of snow in Jackpot, but other than that was a great trip. Nice to be here in the sunshine. They have a really nice place here in the foothills of Yuma. Looking forward to our month here. Will post more in a couple of weeks.
